Barton County Library has been awarded a Summer Reading Program Grant from the State Library of Missouri.  Grant funding is designed to help libraries enhance their summer programs for children, teens and adults.  The amount awarded, $6,972.00, will allow the library to offer innovative and creative events and programs to keep patrons of all ages reading throughout the summer.  The 2019 Barton County Library Summer Reading Program, A Universe of Stories, will run from May 27-July 20.  More information, including a schedule of events, will be available soon.  Check the library‚Äôs website, www.bclib.info, Facebook page, fb.bclib.info, or call the main branch at 417-682-5355 for updates about the summer programs.  This project is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
